Who said Restaurant Week was Over? They Lie...

It’s come and gone but it was too damn cold outside for me! 

                                                                                                 I think we can all agree that Chicago
Restaurant Week is a beautiful thing for those looking to save a few bucks while eating your way around the city (and a few of the ‘burbs).   This year Chicago Restaurant Week was riddled with sub-zero temperatures and snow, so I ended up ‘sitting this one out’.  I salivated over some menu’s and even planned out the restaurants that I would visit only to end up being a total chicken shit about the weather. 

Luckily for those of us that were total chicken shitters during this years Chicago Restaurant Week, there are some suburbs coming to our rescue in what I hope will be much better weather!  I’ve been telling people for years that the Suburbs have some kick-ass restaurants and bars and here come some Suburban Restaurant Weeks to prove it.  If you’re into eating good food, supporting local business, and getting great deals then these Suburban Restaurant Week deals are for you. 

Oak Park:  Foodie Fest Feb.18th – Mar. 4th

Naperville: Restaurant Week Feb. 16^th – Mar. 3^rd

Northwest Suburbs: Restaurant Week Feb. 20th – Mar. 2nd

It’s awesome to see the suburban businesses participating in events that will bring some attention to our dining scene! Sushi Sunday - Fish Pics

It's that time again!! That's right it's Sushi Sunday.

Today I've uploaded some pics from Ukai in Plainfield, Il.  These pics are from a dinner we had midweek, and as you can tell it was massive.  Ukai is pretty high volume so the sushi is fresh.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like they have a Facebook page, but they post awesome specials on their website and have a pretty sweet deal running on Groupon (see below).
