We had the pleasure of attending opening night of Les Miserables at the Drury Lane Theater in Oak Brook, Il earlier this month.  Let me start by saying the show was excellent and the cast is UBER talented.  I've seen Les Mis once before but this cast was much more entertaining, their singing voices were OMG outstanding, especially the voices of Jarvert (Quentin Earl Darrington) and Jean Valjean (Ivan Rutherford).  The storyline is interesting, it tackles redemption, revenge, love, and sacrifice; you can read more about it on Wiki here.

Celebrating their 30th year, Drury Lane is a beautiful theater with classic red chairs where every single seat in the house is a 'good seat'.  They even have removable seats in the back rows to accommodate those in wheelchairs, which means a lot to me considering I have a wheelchair bound family member that would love to see a show.  Drury Lane is also famous for their fantastic Sunday Brunch, it's a staple in Chicagoland and I hope to be able to cover it on my blog one day in the near future.  The theater also offers Lunch and Dinner packages that are very well priced.  Ticket pricing is reasonable too, Wednesdays at ($45), Thursdays at ($45) and ($50), Fridays at ($60), Saturdays and Sundays at ($60), and ($55) for a matinee luncheon package.  Parking is convenient, both covered and uncovered parking are a short distance from the front door.  It was chilly outside on the night we went so I truly appreciated there only being a short walk.

There were so many talented actors in the show that I found it so hard to pick a favorite, so I'll post pictures so that you guys can see how awesome the costumes, makeup, and sets were.  Enjoy!

The show is running at Drury Lane through June 8th so get your tickets ASAP.
